The experimental mRNA Covid-19 jab will no longer be recommended by the CDC to healthy children and pregnant women, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. announced Tuesday.
“I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that as of today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule,” RFK declared alongside NIH director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya and FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary.
“Last year, the Biden administration urged healthy children to get yet another COVID shot despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children,” RFK said.
“That ends today,” Dr. Bhattacharya continued.
“There’s no evidence healthy kids need it today,” chimed in Dr. Makary. “And most countries have stopped recommending it for children.”
“We’re now one step closer to realizing President Trump’s promise to make America healthy again,” RFK reiterated.
Covid-19 vaccines have been blamed for increasing miscarriage rates among pregnant women, according to recent studies, with other data suggesting the jabs caused an uptick in sudden infant death syndrome.
The reversal on recommendations comes as Dr. Makary in an article published in The New England Journal of Medicine last week argued the benefits of “repeat dosing” for healthy people have not been established and that new evidence-, risk-, and age-based guidelines were being adopted.
“We simply don’t know whether a healthy 52-year-old woman with a normal BMI who has had Covid-19 three times and has received six previous doses of a Covid-19 vaccine will benefit from the seventh dose. This policy will compel much-needed evidence generation,” noted the FDA director.
