AI computing giant NVIDIA announced Monday that it will be manufacturing up to $500B in supercomputers in the U.S., which comes on the heels of China responding to the ongoing trade war with America by imposing a ban on critical rare earth mineral exports to the States.

President Donald Trump’s tariff agenda has forced China to react by enacting retaliatory tariffs and now halting the crucial mineral exports, allowing the United States to finally begin reviving domestic production of items that are critical for national defense such as medicines and computer chips used in military technologies.
TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL will be partnering with NVIDIA on the project where AI supercomputers and computer chips will be produced in Texas and Arizona beginning sometime next year.
NVIDIA released a statement, reading, “Tens of ‘gigawatt AI factories’ are expected to be built in the coming years. Manufacturing Nvidia AI chips and supercomputers for American AI factories is expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs and drive trillions of dollars in economic security over the coming decades.”
The company’s president Jensen Huang stated, “The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time. Adding American manufacturing helps us better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency.”
Infowars founder and host Alex Jones posted a video to 𝕏 on Monday, pointing out China’s decision to ban critical exports equates to an act of economic warfare since the materials are used in military equipment.
