President Donald Trump’s border czar Tom Homan says he’ll get to the bottom of leaks that tipped off Tren de Aragua illegal alien gang members targeted for deportation raids after they violently took over apartment complexes in Colorado.

Speaking to Fox News’ Harris Faulkner on Thursday, Homan says he’s focused on OPSEC (Operational Security) to stop future leakers, saying, “We’re not going to tolerate it anymore. This is not a game.”

“When we show up at these sites, this is a dangerous job for the men and women of ICE and Border Patrol and all the DOJ agencies. To have this type of interference puts our officers at great risk, not only the officers, it puts the aliens at great risk because anything can happen when we take our eyes off the goal here, so we’re addressing it immediately today,” Homan said, referring to demonstrators who appeared to impede federal agents’ efforts.

“This is not a joke. This is serious business, and they need to stop, or we’re going to prosecute them through [the] Department of Justice,” he added.

“We know that TdA is dangerous. Everybody can agree to that,” he added. “But when they get a heads up that we are coming, it’s only a matter of time before our officers are ambushed.”

“So we’re addressing it immediately today. I’m addressing OPSEC today. Operational Security, how these leaks are happening…We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” the former ICE director said.

According to Fox News, “Homan confirmed a raid in Aurora on Wednesday was leaked to the community beforehand, which greatly reduced the arrests of Tren de Aragua gang members and other dangerous criminals.”

Fox documented how the bungled operation unfolded:

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Rocky Mountain Division not only confirmed to local KDVR that this was part of the operation that was expected to start in Aurora last week, but also posted a video just after 7 a.m. local time of agents conducting search warrant operations.

However, when hundreds of federal officials began the raid going door-to-door at various apartment complexes, they were met largely with many empty buildings.

“Look, I said from day one, we want to be transparent with the American people,” Homan followed up. “We’ve invited numerous media outlets along, but right now, it’s all about operational security.”

“So we may have to stop the media ride-alongs because—I’m not pointing the finger at them—but the less people that know about these operations, the safer it is for our agents,” he added.

DHS’s move to detain the illegals follows news last August that gangs of Venezuelan illegals had taken over entire apartment complexes in Aurora, using them as headquarters for robbing stores, kidnapping and human trafficking.

News of the TdA members evading capture comes as the DOD on Thursday confirmed it had sent 10 “high threat” illegal aliens to Guantanamo Bay, all Tren de Aragua members.
