The Justice Department on Friday arrested a county judge in Wisconsin, alleging she helped an illegal alien evade detainment by ICE federal agents following a hearing.
The FBI took Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan into US Marshal custody Friday morning at the Milwaukee County Courthouse accusing her of obstructing justice, stemming from a March 18 hearing where she allegedly attempted to prevent the federal detainment of Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz.
“We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X.
Patel added: “Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public.”
An attorney for Dugan on Friday told the Associated Press: “Judge Dugan wholeheartedly regrets and protests her arrest. It was not made in the interest of public safety.”
The activist judge’s arrest comes as federal agents on Thursday arrested a recently-retired New Mexico judge and his wife amid allegations they harbored and possibly armed an illegal alien with suspected ties to Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua at their residence.
“The FBI, under Kash Patel, is making activist judges regret subverting the law regarding illegal aliens,” noted Cullen Linebarger at The Gateway Pundit.
