A previously-deported illegal alien who entered the U.S. during the Biden border rush has been charged in the brutal rape of a 13-year-old boy in Florida, authorities say.

On Thursday, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) announced the arrest of 20-year-old Samuel Cobos-Carmona, who also goes by the alias Samuel Cardona.

Cobos-Carmona is accused of sexually battering a child in the quiet coastal town of Englewood on Apr. 13.

The young victim and his 8-year-old brother were playing hide-and-seek at an apartment complex where their father lives when Cobos-Carmona joined in the game under unspecified circumstances, according to an arrest report reviewed by Gulf Coast News.

Cobos-Carmona and the 13-year-old were hiding in the woods when the suspect asked the boy to touch his genitals, and then asked to touch the boy’s buttocks.

After the child refused both disturbing requests, Cobos-Carmona allegedly held the screaming boy down and penetrated him anally and orally.

The attack ended when the suspect heard the 8-year-old approaching.

The victim was reportedly nervous to tell adults what happened but eventually shared the story with his mother, who called authorities on Apr. 20.

CCSO deputies tracked down Cobos-Carmona, who was reportedly mowing lawns in Englewood at the time.

Following an interview, the illegal alien was taken into custody on Apr. 21 and charged with lewd or lascivious battery by engaging in sexual activity with a person 12 years of age or older but less than 16 years of age.

Cobos-Carmona admitted to the crime while being arrested, according to Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell.

Cobos-Carmona was caught illegally entering the U.S. in August of 2021 and returned to Mexico, but in early 2022, he managed to reenter and evade Texas authorities, who issued a warrant for his arrest.

In a disturbing twist, Cobos-Carmona was again caught in 2024 in Sarasota, FL, but was inexplicably released.

An investigation is ongoing.
